Meet Logan

Educator- Reading Specialist- Advocate for Confident Learners

Hi, I’m Logan Cole, a reading specialist and private tutor with a passion for helping children become confident, capable readers. After spending four years working as a Reading Specialist at The Lab School of Washington, I decided to follow my passion and start my own tutoring business so I could provide families with more individualized, one-on-one support.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Child Development from Auburn University and specialize in evidence-based, multisensory reading instruction tailored to each child’s unique learning style. My tutoring approach incorporates methodologies such as Orton-Gillingham, UFLI, structured literacy, phonics-based instruction, and other research-backed interventions that help students build strong foundational reading and spelling skills.

I specialize in working with children with dyslexia, ADHD, and other language-based learning differences, and one of the reasons this work is so meaningful to me is because it is deeply personal. As someone who struggled with dyslexia growing up, I understand firsthand how challenging reading can feel and how important it is for children to feel supported, understood, and successful. That personal connection helps me build strong relationships with my students and create a learning environment where they feel comfortable taking risks and growing in confidence.

My goal is not only to help children improve their reading and writing skills, but also to help them feel proud of themselves as learners. I believe every child can succeed with the right instruction, encouragement, and support, and I love partnering with families to help make that happen.

Before working with Logan, our daughter would become frustrated and avoid reading whenever possible. We’ve seen incredible growth in both her confidence and skills, and she now approaches reading with excitement instead of hesitation.
